sadly i am extremely sensitive to tea tree oil and would break out in hives if i exposed my skin directly to it. i’m even nervous using products that contain tea tree oil. it’s sad really….

Similar to bentonite clay, multani mitti, which is Indian Fuller’s Earth clay powder, is also very effective, and can be used daily. For best results, and this is from personal experience, mix one spoon of clay and add equal measurements of lemon juice and rosewater. Mix it into a thin paste and apply it. Wash it off after it dries.

Neem is JAM-PACKED with goodies, too! Get a hold of some neem powder (or fresh neem leaves) and mix it into a paste with lemon juice.

Chandan, or sandalwood, is great for clearing blemishes, resulting in fairer, healthier and beautiful skin. Just add some rosewater to make a paste.

I also like using a pinch of turmeric powder in a tablespoon of green gram. Add some honey or olive oil to it if you like, and then mix it all together with some milk. This is not only great for terminating those pimples, but it brightens your complexion beautifully!

You can put the egg yolk on your hair for extreme softness and manageability. Apply egg yolk for 5-10mins or so ( I have left it on up to 30mins before (because I got distracted) only side effect of the long time is my hair slightly smelled even after shampooing and conditioner.) Once 5-10minish has passed shampoo and conditioner. I know I know why conditioner? I haven’t tried it without conditioner. The results of extreme softness and manageability are being compared to the same regimen I normally do minus the egg yolk.

I crush up an asprin pill, which is high in salicylic acid and is a great anti-inflammatory and add a few drops of lemon juice/diluted tea tree oil (for anti-bacterial effect) to make it into a rough paste. Leave it on the pimple until it’s dry, but make sure to moisturize afterwards. Works like magic. Also, using Marula oil as a daily moisturizer and using the oil instead of traditional facial cleansers has gotten rid of my oily skin and my acne problem. Using a dry oil like Marula, Baobab, or Argan is much better than using soaps or astringents for balancing the oil content in your skin. The oil pushes out dirt and sebum build up by dissolving it and bonding to the skin cells to push dead matter and grit out, where water based formulas generally aim to exfoliate or flush the dirt out. It seems weird at first to put oil on oily skin, but your skin basically goes “oh hey, there’s enough healthy oil here, guess I don’t need to make more” and voila! clear skin! :)

As a teenager I ended my acne all at once by using an ingredient that came to me after some very deep thinking…..I believe it to be a very well kept secret. I used NOTHING, and it worked. That is to say, I used water on a white wash cloth – and nothing else. I washed my face gently with warm water and it began to get better and better – less oily and then got clear and stayed that way. Hot water will dry the skin but is good for big blemishes. If I had known anything back then I would have used filtered water. I was just a kid, so I used tap water. steam the face by putting a towel over your head and running hot water in the sink with your face down towards the water. Just wash the face the way God intended – works wonders.

I used water as well, when I was in high school. filtered water to be exact, every day before bed, and it ended my acne as well, or most of it (I still have black heads and some scars) But it did a HUGE improvement on my skin.

Just a standard kitchen egg tip: When egg white and yokes are separated completely egg whites won’t go bad. You can keep a jar with a single egg white in the fridge for a LONG time for facial use with no consequences.

I love all these ideas! Thanks! Just in time as I’m breaking out so bad right now from detoxing. Ugh! I will definitely try these as I’ve got most of these things ready and easy to use!

my acne seems to never go away and i’ve tried everything any other remedies ?

  • Laura

Great post. I’ll have to try some of these, thank you! One tip I use is if you have a huge (and often painful, at least in my case) zit, one thing you can do to reduce the swelling is put a tea bag to it for a few seconds (avoid spiced teas, but english breakfast, earl grey, chamomile, even peppermint work fine). I just make my tea before bed, slightly ring out the tea bag over the sink so that it isn’t so dripping, and hold it up to my pimple for about 30 seconds before discarding the bag. It’s amazing how much the swelling, redness and most importantly, pain from the zit are reduced. Then treat however you prefer (I’m looking forward to the lemon juice myself).

I just wanted to hop on here again and tell you guys about the wonderful results I am having from mustard! I mix up a powdered mustard with a little bit of water or honey (or vitamin e oil if your skin is feeling sensitive), spread it on all over my face like a mask, and rinse when it starts feeling a little too warm for me. After years of monthly chemical peels as a teenager (which I can’t afford on my own insurance), I can attest that the effect is comparable. My skin is wonderfully smooth for days! It is even fading my old scars.

Once a month would probably do it, but I’ve been doing it more like once a week. Just be careful. It will burn if you leave it for too long (much like a chemical peel). If your skin is sensitive, I would try it on a small area first. Honestly, though, this is working miracles for me!

I was suffering from acne since I was 12 years old. I
used lot of topical creams to get rid of my acne. But I didn’t find a true
solution for my problem. Finally, I opted for natural solution for my acne and
searched on acne. I came across Dermatone tablets, skinelle cream, acne 200 and
used for 6 months and finally got rid of my problem. Now, even after 2 years of
use I didn’t get my acne back.
